Multiple offset relief prints on archival cotton rag

Untitled (The Death of Jesse James #2) extends the series of works exploring Jesse James’ infamous death photograph, this time through digital tracing and relief print processes. Using a tablet, the original image is redrawn in the same continuous line style as The Death of Jesse James, before being printed onto archival cotton rag. Each print is then layered and offset, producing multiple impressions that tessellate across the wall.
The shifting arrangements expose how myth operates through repetition and variation, each version echoing the same moment, while concealing and reshaping its truth. In layering and multiplying the image, the work transforms a singular historical photograph into a fractured field of impressions, revealing myth not as fixed record but as an interpretative process, unstable and unresolved.
