Self (with A.I. and glitches) is a digital self-portrait that explores how machines, screens, and emerging technologies map and distort identity. The work positions the artist in collaboration with technology, splitting the screen into two processes: on one side, AI-driven rotoscoping traces and reconstructs the artist’s image; on the other, datamoshing techniques corrupt and fracture these animations.
The result is a hybrid, unstable portrait where representation is mediated through technological processes. Half-constructed, half-broken, the image reflects on how digital environments shape and fragment our sense of self, revealing identity not as fixed, but as continually negotiated between human presence and machine aesthetics.
