Responsive Test Card is a browser-based artwork that reinterprets the traditional television test pattern within the digital space. Using HTML and CSS, the work generates a dynamic test card that, while appearing static, continuously reshapes itself, stretching and adapting to different browser resolutions each time it is loaded.
Historically, TV test patterns signaled a broadcast in waiting, a placeholder for transmission. In this work, the test card becomes a site of transformation, questioning how old media signals are repurposed and reshaped in the digital age. Responsive Test Card explores the fluid nature of digital space, where fixed forms dissolve into responsive, ever-shifting configurations.
